The Artist

Welcome! Thank you for taking time to check out my work! I truly appreciate your time and interest.

Friends and family know of my life-long love of dogs, horses and all animals. In 2014, I acquired my first two Afghan Hounds, Sophie and Vogue. Their beauty and eccentricities inspired me to recreate these magical creatures in colored pencil and oil. “Genny” (see Gallery) was my first colored pencil drawing. Many more followed!

Painting with oil was the next challenge and “Sophie,” was my muse! Soon after, my work found an audience on Facebook and Instagram and I received multiple commissions from friends in the dog show community. A wonderful group of people who adore their dogs and the art that showcases them. I continue to enjoy getting to know all through my art and am grateful for their continued patronage.

Recently, I’ve expanded and challenged my skills to include — (more)horses, lions, tigers, donkeys, birds, and a still life or two - all coming soon! And this fall I’ll be trying my hand at a new medium, pastel pencils!
